Building your company profile
What goes into a company profile and which fields most affect visibility.
Last updated August 3, 2026
Why the company profile matters
Your company profile is the object investors browse, filter and save. It is also what matching evaluates. Incomplete profiles are ranked lower and are filtered out entirely by investors who screen on the missing field.
Core fields
- Name, website and location. Used for deduplication and for geography filters.
- Stage. Pre-seed through growth. Investors filter on this constantly.
- Sector and sub-sector. Drives most matching signal.
- One-line description. Shown in every list view. Keep it concrete.
- Long description. Your space to explain the problem, the wedge and the proof.
Traction and financials
Optional but high-impact: revenue, growth rate, headcount, key customers and prior funding rounds. You control what is visible; nothing here is published without you saving it.
Verification
Verified companies carry a badge in listings. Verification confirms the legal entity and the person managing the profile. It does not endorse the business or its projections.
Keeping it current
Profiles show a last-updated signal. Refresh yours before each outreach push.
